The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, whose members are often called Mormons, has a long history in Colorado.

In fact the first LDS community in what is now Colorado was actually established at Pueblo a year before Brigham Young and his pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley.
This photo shows a trail, identified as an Old Mormon Trail, on Colorado's Front Range, possibly near Pueblo.
