Riding a solitary trail

In 1899, British native and former Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman Roger Pocock set off on a monumental horseback journey from Canada to Mexico.



He rode alone, unarmed, and encountered outlaws, Indians and rugged landscape. He wrote about his adventure in newspapers and books. I wrote about his adventure in the column linked below.
