Bicycling along railroad tracks with special adapters was an important means of transportation in the late 19th and early 20th century,

and John Kiefer took advantage of that system when he worked for a store in Fruita Colorado. This photo shows the cover of his book. My Daily Sentinel column about his experiences is attached below.
