A Revolt that changed the West

The Pueblo Revolt occurred this week in New Mexico, just 342 years ago. Ok, that was a long time ago,

but the Native fight against the Spanish colonists had repercussions that affected the development of the Southwest for centuries afterward. The photo here is a statue of the leader of the revolt, a man named Po'pay. Below is a link to my history column in The Daily Sentinel regarding the revolt.
